BOTTLE BY PRINCE JOE

Image
[ Bottle ] i am cold here with faded colours & the meaning of my covered skin means my flesh has inherited your father's sadness. Like father always say: anything could kill you & i. you never can complete the phrase of life. how strange my sister made love to a god & gave birth to god-head. sometimes, seeing myself running tells me i am more than what i think.   tell me how your mother feel seeing your father dying again & again like the sweat of your skin that taste like the loneliness, belief, salt, or maybe soft songs that makes the voice of a door to shout:Alihamdulilah. I have learnt bottles are tools that looks like guns; so when we hold them in replace of something we forget that death lives in bottles more like  suicide. #Princejoe #Poetryislife

BOOK PUBLISHING BY OLA W. HALIM

Image
BOOK PUBLISHING: WHAT TIME IS DUE FOR IT? BY OLA W. HALIM G: BOOK PUBLISHING — WHAT TIME IS DUE FOR IT? Getting your work READY for public consumption, as we all have related. I'll discuss this  topic under three main headings: 1. Drafting your book. 2. Editing your book. 3. Getting published. You know, everyone can write, but something, something specific, makes you an EVOLUTIONARY writer. One of them is PATIENCE and TENACITY. Because writing is a veeeeeery lonely, individualistic career, you need to motivate, encourage and inspire yourself most of the time. You don't get these things extrinsically... If you can't train yourself up to this level at this stage, you might end up not writing at all or producing a work that's not mature for publication. Which would be bad... Drafting your  book might be the most difficult stage. You spend time writing a book you find hard returning to, to edit. You can't get anyone to do it for you. So you assume, since you...

WHILE RUNNING MY BODY FALLS BY MESIOYE JOHNSON

Image
WHILE RUNNING MY BODY FALLS There is a butchered memory resting on every man. Like music we mould what is & what may not together to form a piece of ourselves, a quaver, a couplet breaking back into alphabets, so an alto of bitterness our body is in our lover's mouth becomes a medley, I mean it determines gravity of dreams, falling & rising & measuring depth of silences, of promises searching for history between a memory wearing a brown cloth of pebbles. Sometimes we know we are in the wrong place & still want to place our body right there, as if tucking a small paper in a hole too big like a wound is a way to inject healing on our shadows. My lover says I belong to prophecies of her shadow & a night falls from my eardrum making a sound of my emptiness with the ground. You say music is life, so is silence death? We get tethered to bitter halves of us & after having a fine knowledge of the darkness we just want to move to pick our reflec...

OBLIVION BY PRINCE JOE.

Image
-- Oblivion October 16, 2017: i thought flowers could grow in a place of complex sand. i thought sweet songs could make night beautiful. & i thought butterflies has something to tell than flying. i thought ripples on water is an ideology we don't understand. i thought fine sands also make a living out of water. i thought lights are meant to see beyond the darkness in our hearts. i thought girls has forgiven heart for every game a boy plays in her room. i thought promise is a depth in the heart of the seashore. i thought throwing myself too much to you could make you see the scars in my face. i thought weapons are meant for war until you showed me what it takes to have someone's name buried alive to show me that your body too is a weapon that sometimes kills someone's fate. for the hate of unsettled conflict we do have each time we both removed the face of understanding. but i now understand that memories too has a smell of oblivion, like you...
