THERE'S A STORM BY PRINCE JOE

THERE'S A STORM
EPISODE THREE

"Chimo!" The king fainted.

Immediately, he was rushed with immediate effect to the room for proper attention with the priest. No one was allowed to step a foot inside the room only if the king call for it. The palace became as silence as a dead stone. The king has only one child named Ifeanyi which was named after the death of the King's mother----Nene. Several warnings had been given to the king that he must not venture his anger against Ifeanyi because he's a child of the world---forbidden. The king sticks to the warning which prompted him not to remarry another wife, because he knew to himself what he's capable of doing. The warm warning can turn to a stream of water which will carry multitude of people with no mercy. But the king never wanted to affect the people, so he blend a sharp ear with the warning.

After some hours, the king was awake by a frightened nightmare of strange message. He screamed with his loudest voice that moved the four pillars of the palace. All guards ran inside in a jiffy, with a sensitive attack if nothing was wrong.Immediately they entered; they met the king standing like a statue, resting his back at the alone pillar in his room. All eyes was with the king. About 7 guards only in the King's room for protection. A guard make a move forward as he laid his left hand on the King's shoulder.

"My king, what exactly happened?"

The king looked the guard eye to eye with an indisposed manner. Trying to lunch a word out but he was close to tears, very close. But he managed to hide it by rubbing his face with a clothe.

"Don't worry, nothing happened. I need to see Dandu immediately. The king uttered sharply.

"As your lordship pleases" The guards made a chorus, as they left for the door.

The atmosphere was calm this time, like nothing ever happened. All the villagers assembled themselves in different places gisting on what exactly is wrong with the village's sudden circumstances that befall them by killing people. At a distance corner close to the Ugoma's house --the father of a Palm wine tapper. Two women and a man were talking sort of gibberish that the king mustn't hear. Lora--the wife of a murdered man: Locozuma. And Binta--the wife to a late man: Achebe that died recently of asthma, 4years ago. With a tall and dark skinny man named Sword due to his perfect skills in handling a sword by his farther from childhood; as a warrior. Both women and the man never mind the effect or disadvantages of their words as they spoke with much attention and assurance.

"See, have being listening to some tensed conversation that the king is responsible for this sudden storm that befall us" Lora said, grinning.

"Ahhhh! That's a lie. What I heard was the king must be killed if not; the Village won't be at peace".Binta added gallantly.

"I talk am" Lora whispered.

"Oooh! You people have come again, why did you just love saying things that cannever happen. You said the king Is responsible. And later said he must be sacrifice for the ritual of this land. Are they not the same thing?" Sword said, clapping both hands like the words were dust.

"Ehhh! You never hear anything. The latest news I heard this morning was that: Sword must be slaughtered for the village to have peace". Binta pronounced.

"May gods punish that your mouth there, you useless woman.oooh! You think you can divert my own to this problems or place me as a stick of obstacle, abi?  Fire burn that your mouth".

"Na you fire go burn, because you're the only man that the name is different, imagine; Sword. Sword. How can a human be bearing sword if not that the person was once strike by the gods". Binta snubbed.

"Ooh! I have seen that you people have conspired against me, and your evils shall not come true. Amen!"

"Mr. Swordman, never in your biribiri life talk that kind thing you said just now, or you will be sorry for the rest of your life!"

"I don't know that you people don't love me at all, I should known before now. Nevertheless, am going to the King's palace to report everything you said to him. Now!" Sword pronounced harshly.

"Ahh! Biko!  Abeg don't go, I was just pulling your legs. Biko!" Binta knelt down in apology.

"Oooh! You know say power pass power. If you think roughly that the king won't believe, you know you're known in this village as a parrot. Then I think that would expose your evil deeds".

"Ahhhh! Bro, sword Abeg don't go. Just spear me please. You know I love you".Lora said, apologizing in a romantic way.

"Hmmmm. You said you love me, then let start to date now, abi?  You're not shaa married".
