BENEATH THE SEA BY ABIOYE SAMUEL

Image
BENEATH THE SEA Beneath the sea You wet flowers Is no gold that glitters. Beneath the sea Stands, the gory of saints; Booming notes And thriving wealth. You dawn of the day Beneath the sea Dwells fire That scolds bare hands. Beneath the sea Lives the sparkling eyes of the down-pour That escalates into storm of destruction. So you star Dime your glut-full lust To be the moon And twinkle your torrid lust To the bank of your river. For beneath the sea Lies; Lion that can't be scold And a snake, that can't be tamed Nicknamed nemesis–destruction. ©Abioye Samuel Akorede. #The_Poetry_Apostle.

ABUSE DUET BY JOSEPH JASEF ANDWINIFRED FELIX

Image
A DUET TITLED ABUSE ___________________________ ABUSE Oh no, this is not right, Cant you see a stain on my white, You pugnacious Rich Bitch, You splashed water on me yet no sorry cause you are a son of a tovarich. Your bodyguards gave a life time beating, All for I came Ranting. Police came, joy in my heart, For I thought they will defend my right, But at the sight and bribe of Dollars they apprehended me, For 120 hours the sky I couldn't see. Locked up In a horrible room, So worse even than a public Restroom. Oh! My right is trashed! I am clogged and bashed, He even came to threaten to send to jail, I couldn't reach my family, couldn't get through a mail. Alot of innocent souls like me locked up in the cell. Oh No!, When will I be free who can tell. Yea we chant fundamental human right in schools, Do we truely make it a tool? Yet we call it a constitution, Some used while others flung into the ocean. Abuse yea I was Abused! Who shall I Accuse?.

SOMEWHERE IN SOUTHEAST BY UNDILUTED POETRY

Image
SOMEWHERE IN SOUTHEAST  .  .  This isn't a poem  It's the chronicles of a nation's chronic disease  .  These lines are oceans of tears in a mother's eyes  How her home became a test-room for guns  Where death breaths his last breathe  And how it embraces the life of a brother  Turning his soul to a matter without space  Emptying his fullness to fill the ground  That mocked his strength  When he lost to freedom  .  Did you see how the sun  Displayed her nakedness on the body of women?  How the ground swallowed their pride  Choking them with broken memories  Breaking them into parts that part with existence  For, how can a mother live  When death took away her life in her eyes?  .  This isn't a poem  It's the scene of a brother in the pool of his own blood  .  They said freedom is the only way  To set a man free, and give him his dreams  But how can a man be in bondage in his father's house,  Where his life became a book with diffe

SAVE THE CATS BY JOSEPH JASEF

Image
SAVE THE CATS I walk downtown the city, Through the lonely part, The sky was Asleep, Stars illuminate. Breeze Chase each other in Humility, Dogs bark like a Spirit is around. I walked on the eggshell, Looking around if any shall show. I heard cats meowing in different parts, Supplying the night with Euphonious tone. But as I approach their midst they dashed into the thin air. "Why? Why will they run" I couldn't stop asking myself. A beautiful black Kitten, Tried her best to run but her legs were too weak to attempt. I bend down and softly carried it. But on her eyes I saw fears. I saw different cat eyes gazing from their hidden, Looking if I shall kill the Kitten, Then I knew why they all fled, Human have no love for cats. Yes we may say some are possessed, But Aiint Human Possess? Listen to the dirge of Innocent Cats, Stop the Killing of Cats and lets live in unity and peace. Stop the killing of Cats *Joseph Jasef *2017©
